We think it is important to highlight the other work being done in the field of congenital heart disease as well as provide information about other programs and resources that might be helpful to families. One of our team members recently informed us about a camp right in our own backyard. We would like to share this camp in the hopes it may help others looking for a way to within the CHD community. Camp Odayin provides fun, safe and supportive camp experiences and community building opportunities for young people with heart disease and their families. Founded in 2002, Camp Odayin welcomed 53 campers from 6 different states during a week of Residential Camp. In 2015, they served over 700 people through Residential Camp, Day Camp, Winter Camp, Family Camps and a Young Adult Retreat. Participants pay a minimal $25 registration fee per person to attend any camp program, and Camp Odayin raises funds to cover the remaining costs. Visit www.campodayin.org to learn more!
