Patient navigation is an approach to improving healthcare delivery by providing nonclinical support to patients and caregivers. Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center has general and population specific Patient Navigators available to help identify and reduce barriers to care, such as transportation and lodging needs, for patients receiving care at Mayo Clinic. Working closely with Mayo Clinic Social Workers, Financial Counselors, and Care Teams throughout the Practice, Patient Navigators can also assist with financial concerns, disease specific inquires, and support resources available within Mayo Clinic and out in the community.
