Congratulations Super Bowl Challenge Winners!

In early November, we posted about Team Draft's - Super Bowl Challenge for Lung Cancer Survivors. We are excited to report that Mayo Clinic was represented in the challenge and is part of the winning team!

Linda Wortman, a well-known face when it comes to Mayo Clinic Lung Cancer advocacy, is celebrating 10 years as a survivor later this month. Linda continues to raise awareness for the #1 cancer killer and joined the 2018 Lung Cancer Survivors Super Bowl Challenge not as an individual but on behalf of ALL Mayo Clinic lung cancer survivors.

Linda, along with her husband Jerry, will have the opportunity to participate in a number of events during Super Bowl week along with Mayo Clinic providers and researchers who continue to make strides in lung cancer research and treatment. Among the events, the Chris Draft Family Foundation is hoping to offer either a dinner or breakfast for Mayo Clinic Lung Cancer Survivors which is where you - our Connect readers and survivors - will have the opportunity to participate in.

I am truly honored to be a Mayo Clinic Lung Cancer survivor who is thriving because of the professional care teams and support provided through Connect Moderators, Mentors. Together I hope we can raise Lung Cancer and Lung health awareness and Save Lungs & Lives, be the FIRST2BURST the unfair stigma, support lung cancer research and Blow Lung Cancer Away!
