Is this Video Q&A directed to just liver patients? Or is the procurement information appropriate to all organs for transplant?

We'll be showing the procurement process for a liver transplant, but the process at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, FL, is essentially the same for all organs.

When will this be shown? I am on a liver transplant wait list and my MELD is 27. I've been on the list for over 8 months. I would be interested in finding out more about the process.

Hi @jeanene and Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. We are happy that you will be able to join us. I transplanted 9 years ago and I am also very interested in this webinar. This will be my 1st time to have this kind of opportunity. Did you register? What is something you would like to ask while you are waiting for your transplant?
Rosemary

This is great! I was transplanted three and a half years ago and wanted to know what happens behind the scenes and actually still do. I’m looking forward to this!

Hi, @bexhall — that is wonderful you were transplanted three and a half years ago. Glad this will give you a chance to see behind the scenes a bit.

@bexhall — have you by chance checked out our transplant group on Mayo Clinic Connect? It's a wonderful, supportive group, and I am sure they would love to meet you. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/transplants/.
