I read an article about the folks at Washington University in St. Louis using targeted low dose radiation to treat ventricular arrhythmia. Any update on this new procedure? Can it be used in the future to treat AFIB? I think they are currently only using it on older patients until they have more data on the impact of targeting the heart with low dose radiation. https://outlook.wustl.edu/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Outlook_Summer2018.pdf

Had the watchman implanted 6 months ago. Now considering av node ablation and pacemaker for persistent afib. Will this stop the symptoms of afib?

I don't think I know enough to ask an intelligent question. Perhaps I'll have some after I hear about the latest treatments for arrythmias. I'm very interested as my heart is out of rhythm most of the time now after an ablation fixed it for nearly 10 years.
