Excellent question! I would say if taking prednisone relieves the pain ... that doesn't prove anything....
Prednisone was the only thing that helped trigeminal ... neuralgia but surgery was eventually

Hi @loolookirl You should be referred to a neurosurgeon. The Neurologist did the same to me...
unbearable shooting pain was due to trigeminal ... neuralgia and the Neuro surgeon placed
