PMR doesn't bother me so much anymore ... I actually thought PMR was a blessing ... I never had any problems tapering off ... with tapering off prednisone after ... PMR was diagnosed!

How is anyone supposed to know when PMR ... I lowered my prednisone dose gradually ... for PMR only. ... That allowed me to taper quickly down ... to 3 mg of prednisone.

have been struggling for 9 years with PMR ... time you reduce down to 2.5 mg of prednisone ... the PMR flares up and you have to increase ... I'm wondering how much you are tapering ... may be that it's too large of a taper

Welcome to the forum. You might be one of the many people who have problems when...
when they approach the 7 mg dose of prednisone ... only person that has problems as you taper ... For me it wasn't only a PMR problem ... You may want to try tapering by .5 mg ... when we get into single digits of prednisone
