@munchie, I really don't think anyone doctor or patient really knows the answer to your question....
I've had two occurrences of PMR ... lasted 3 and half years before I could taper ... off of the 20 mg prednisone used at ... last 1 and half years before I could taper ... be achieved with a 15-mg/d dose of prednisone

Glad you are able to taper. These same thing happened to me. 5 years with PMR...
Glad you are able to taper. ... thing happened to me. 5 years with PMR ... with a few flare ups but nothing prednisone ... vaccine and was fine for a few days then PMR ... double the 2.5 mg to 5 and start the taper
