The goal of tapering in the words of ... little or no pain symptoms from your PMR ... My first round with PMR took me 3-1/ ... 2 years to go from 20 mg to off of prednisone ... until I could finally stop taking the prednisone

@sue16833 - Reoccurrence is common but each of us are different and no one really knows....
2007 and he was able to get off of prednisone ... has not had another occurrence of PMR ... I took 3-1/2 years to taper off the ... I was able to taper off in about 1-1 ... 's better to taper slowly.
