In November we raise awareness to those who have been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The Pancreas is an organ in the body that create hormones and enzymes that breakdown sugar, starches, and fats.
When diagnosed with this cancer, the cells from the organ of the Pancreas grow out of control. Some potential risk factors include, tobacco use, diabetes, being overweight, and chronic pancreatitis. Some are more prevalent to pancreatic cancer than others depending on their age, gender, race, and family history.
