Mayo Clinic doctors address health care disparities

Mayo Clinic doctors are raising awareness about health care disparities that impact minority groups in the country.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected minority communities in many ways. According to the CDC, the mortality rate among Black people with COVID-19 is more than three times as high as that of white people.

Dr. Sharonne Hayes and Dr. Chyke Doubeni talk about how community engagement, building trust, and communication may be solutions to health care disparities.
