Whether you are a Cancer survivor, currently in active treatment, or supporting someone who is currently going through treatment, there are Cancer Support groups in the Jacksonville Community that are easily accessible and will provide you with the resources you may need. These support and advocacy groups are programs created to help patients access the care they need.

Jiles Jewels is a non-profit organization founded by Tricshone Jiles who underwent breast cancer and wanted to give back to the community. Their goal is to bring awareness to breast cancer while providing immediate assistance to breast cancer warriors, serving Jacksonville and its surrounding areas. They will gift care packages to a current breast cancer warrior in active treatment as well as pamper packages that include a facial by a licensed esthetician certified in Oncology and a goodie bag to treat those who is a warrior or survivor.

One program they provide are the Men Helping Men, an educational program to support men during their prostate cancer journey- offering resources and guidance for those facing prostate cancer. SHINE, Supporting Her IN Every Way is another program that is an interactive women's support group that help women make informed treatment decisions, ease the challenges of treatment, and offer support & encouragement during and after cancer.

UF Health provides a support group to those with oral, head, and neck cancer, letting cancer patients meet the emotional, physical, and humanistic needs they need. These monthly meetings offer information, support, and encouragement to newly diagnosed patients, survivors, and allows survivors to discuss their experiences, coping strategies, and hopes.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. This community offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal or unwind in their own private room. This concept is a nationwide program and allows cancer patients to have a sense of stability and routine while in active treatment.
