Welcome ridge runner you have found a great group of helpful people. Did you have a question about the TENS machine? I use one when needed. I put the pads where the pain is and set it as high as is comfortable. Where I had constant pains has now stopped. Haven’t had to use it for a while now. Hope this helps.

Safety shield thanks for your reply. No I haven’t seen an doctor for the noises in my ear. I read on the internet that it is common to have all kinds of noises in the ear. It is usually in the right ear where I have otosclerosis which leaves your hearing very low. On my case about 10% hearing except for tinnitus. I had a hearing aid for a while but did not have good results with it. Am planning o ask my gp for s referral as now I’m having hearing loss in my right ear. I’m hoping it is just wax buildup. Have you had good luck with acupuncture ?

Yes I have ringing in my ears and sometimes a click click click sound and occasionally I hear music. It can be very annoying. During the day there is enough distraction so I don’t pay attention to it but at night it is bothersome so I bought a fan and keep it on at night so the noise blocks out the ringing.

Hi yes I have three other diseases that are considered autoimmune. They seem to come after you have one disease.and pretty soon you have more of them.

Sebley12 thanks for your post . I also have several autoimmune diseases. Lichen sclerosis, otosclerosis, restless legs, peripheral neuropathy, blefaritis, and now just diagnosed with gout. Unbelievable because I don’t eat any of the things that bring it on. I didn’t drink enough water though but I sure am now. Once you get a autoimmune disease it seems your exposed to others.

Hopefully those meds will help you. I’m curious about your walking. Do have pain from walking and do you feel unsteady on your feet? I’m supposed to walk a lot too but my legs seem to give out on me whenever I try and if the ground is uneven I feel very unsteady.

Hello bobsconnect thank you for your reply. The cause of my peripheral neuropathy is unknown and I also have restless legs syndrome. They both just came out of nowhere. With the neuropathy I have the pins and needles in legs and arms and numbness in my hands. You are right, it is a pain sometimes trying to do things with your fingers. Right now I use a TENS machine for the neuropathy pain but doesn’t help the numbness. I take requip and tramadol for the rls which I believe helps the neuropathy as well. Putting a heated oad under my legs and prop them up with a pillow seems to help too. The other thing that bothers me is the unsteadiness when walking that sometimes occurs. Thanks for your post it is good to know how other people are dealing with this disease.
