@sandykayhud I was on Arkarice for a year and it was fantastic, only side effect was loss of voice and bit of a sore throat in the beginning and I would inhale just b4 bed, rince my mouth after inhaling and suck on sudafed which all helped alot. To me Arkarice was great , the big 3 diddnt get rid of my MAC but Arkirice gave me negitive sputums. All the best. Heather

Wed, Jun 26 1:43am · Medication change from clarithromycin to azithromaycin in MAC & Bronchiectasis

@jkiemen Hi Jo Ann sorry to hear you are having problems. I am on Aithromycin and the instructions went from empty stomach to have a cracker when taking them and that helped my stomach alot. It was the NJH that changed the rule I think, because it was causing to much in the way of stomach problems. My Dr said to eat with them, so I was having a meal with my meds and my urine was not red-orange, when I read NJH on this they said to have a cracker so I did and it went back to Red-orange which shows the pills are doing their thing. Not sure about Claithromycin tho. Hope this helpsTake care. Heather

Thanks @merpreb, the humitidity makes me feel quite pooped and heavy chested, I also find bending over, ie:to wash the dog, is difficult and I used to get the blue lips also. I wish I had found answers to these problems but I havent, look forward to any responses.

Thanks @jkiemen this sounds very promising, 6 weeks is fab compared to 4 years os nasty pills! 15000 phages will take a while to sort which is for which bug, they need more staff and the money that goes along with that.

Hi @jasmine321 Yes I also had noticable hoarseness on and off, but constantly there a tiny teeny bit whilst on it. Diddnt bother me to much I sucked loengers Strepfen which helped. I hope the Amikacin works for you.
