Jun 29, 2018 · Don't Want To Be a Complainer in Chronic Pain

I to Have suffered chronic pain from broken back. I am still looking for a good solution after 30 yrs. As to the other aspects you have mentioned, I also felt others did not want to here complaining. In my area there is a support group specifically for chronic pain. Meetings are on weekends so as to make it easier for weekday workers to attend. The people there are very willing to listen and understand you're situation. Check with local hospital and pain clinic to see if there is one in you're area. It Remember, we here are also a good support group. Good luck and best wishes.

Jun 29, 2018 · Bursitis and hip pain in Bones, Joints & Muscles

I began having bursitis in both shoulders at 18. It is an inflammatory problem. in college (culinary) I took nutrition. I learned about foods that have anti inflammatory properties and foods that can aggravate inflammation. I have used this information in my diet and have had less problems with all of my inflammatory diseases. Less frequent and less sever pains. I have still needed meds and procedures for these problems. Diet is not a cure all but something that has supplemented the medical. Full disclosure, I am a professional chef. I have no medical training. If interested you could talk to your local Nutritionist for advice. Still talk to doc. about inflammatory problems as they can help with the acute and long term treatments. Good luck and best wishes.

Hello @hopeful33250. Thank you for pointing me to this article. I didn’t know they had a term for it. I tell people that if they leave there reactions out for a while and try to look at things as third party it could help them learn and possibly find solutions to there situation or symptoms. This with a life long positive out look have help with keeping stress down. Thus I have more days to enjoy and less days of self pity and blues. I hope others read it and get something from it. PS. This applies to all illnesses and situations in life.

Hello @techy, I understand where you are coming from. I have MS, the symptoms started when I was in my twenties. The Duckters told me that I was imagining it, It was all in my head, I just wanted attention. They sent me to a shrink. 25 years later a woman Dr. who migrated from India said it was in my head because that’s where the most damage occurs. I kept going from Dr. to Dr. till I got one that listened to me and respected me. One of the Dr. told me “He was the Professional Dr. and I was only the patient who didn’t Know anything so I should shut up and listen to him. I live in this body. I know it intimately. Who knows better what is going on more than you in you’re body? Be you’re own advocate and keep pushing for answers. Best of luck to you and remember that whatever it turns out to be, It may have you’re body but it cannot have you if you don’t let it. Chin up Always!

Hello @elisabetha and welcome. The symptomes you describe sund just like what my daughter went through 10 years ago. She was constapated almost from birth and always strained to have a movement. she was 2 1/2 years when she complained of belly pain and her stomach was hard and distended. The ER Doc determined it was “interseseption”. This is when the colon turns itself inside out. It was esily treated and she was home playing within hours. I am not a a doctor so I wont diagnose but these symptoms can indicat a number of ailments that affect the bowels. I’ve never heard of behavior affecting the bowels but I don’t rule anything out. With my daughter, she will be on a high fiber diet with fiber supliments and stool softeners for the rest of her life. I would recomend seeking another opinion. As far as the question of Auto-imune bowel problems being hereditary, in my family we have confirmed at least two people in each generation of the maternal side with one inflamitory bowel problem dating back to the early eighteen hundreds. It doesn’t prove heredity but it is very sugestive to me. I wish you luck with the little one.

Hello, @maudon, and welcome ! The symptoms you describe (ie dreamlike state) are very much a part of MS for some of us. I suffer this state quite often. Luckily for me it only last a day or two at a time and at times only hours. Please check out this article http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/living-with-multiple-sclerosis-it-s-the-hidden-symptoms-of-ms-which-have-the-most-impact-10103094.html I have found in my case and with others I know that this state is directly tied to another symptom of MS, Fatigue. I hope this is helpful and good luck!

Nov 23, 2016 · My seven year is always hot, no fever, not sick in About Kids & Teens

Hello @motivated1, I grew up always hot as well. When I was your sons age I slept with just a sheet. My parents were always upset because as I got older I would be out playing or shoveling snow in T-shirts. I burn calories at a high rate (average 4200 a day). I am muscular with low body fat without trying. I am 5’9″ at 165 pounds at age 50. I still keep my bedroom at 65 deg and sleep with just a sheet. My father and a couple of other relatives are also like this and have all had Doctors tell us it is a hereditary condition that is normal. I would advise asking his Doctor to make sure and also ask around your families about any similarities. Good luck!

I apologize for taking so long to get back on this subject. I am att. a doc for you to read. the things I was talking about have been known since the 30’s. Please read the doc. I apologize but I do not speak about things that have not been proven at least to the satisfaction of medical people. I am not advocating purchasing, rather I say look and take what you may use. There are many companies that want you to buy there products. I only thought that people could start there learning by checking these things out. As I said I am not an advocate for any products.
