I’m 75 and have had peripheral neuropathy for more than 40 years. It began with pain in the feet and kept moving slowly upwards over the years. I have tried so many things over the years, but what I finally settled on some years back to combat the pain and tingling was gabapentin and tramadol. Mine was idiopathic, meaning they don’t know why I have it. About 10 or so years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which can make it worse if you don’t control your weight and your blood sugars. And exercise. I may no longer be able to exercise, as I have had so many other physical ailments, not related to neuropathy. My neuropathy has now moved up to my thighs and is beginning to affect my hip bone areas. What I need to know is what to expect beyone this. No doctor has told me or can tell me. So if anyone has had it for this long and has experience regarding what to expect, please add some comments. Thanks.
