It’s tough, trust me, I do know! I did take my mood stabilizing supplement last night before bed and woke up feeling pretty good (fingers crossed it stays that way!)
I’m sorry how you’re feeling. I know it’s not fun! We’re here to help and talk! 💜

Hi All,

Not sure if you have read my previous response to @chicago1211, but the last few days have been getting progressively worse in terms of my mood. Yes, I feel more motivated and “out of the brain fog” and not feeling like I’m having so much withdrawal symptoms. But, I can’t handle my mood! It’s absolutely awful and I almost don’t recognize myself. Mostly with anger and frustration. Everything irritates me and I feel like I’m extremely snappy. I’ve been taking supplements, exercising, eating better and it’s not getting better. I woke up at 4 am upset and frustrated and decided to take 12mg of Venlafaxine. I feel like a complete failure and I’m scared. I’m scared to fall back into the brain fog, I’m scared to have to go through ALL that withdrawal again. I’ve done research on some other supplements and was looking at 5-HTP to try and help, but I’m not sure that will help. I’m feeling worried like I need to be on meds for the rest of my life! I also feel worried because I think I may need more of an SSRI instead of an SNRI and have heard a lot of the SSRIs have caused weight gain. I’ve been struggling so much with losing weight that I don’t want that at all!

I don’t know what to do! I feel stuck!

@chicago1211 I FEEL THE EXACT SAME! It’s been I think a little over 2 weeks and I’m having the worst mood swings and I’m ANGRY! I’ve been taking supplements and exercising daily and it’s just awful! I had to take 12 mg tonight of Venlafaxine. I feel like a complete failure. I’m scared to fall back into feeling the brain fog and useless, but now I feel angry and miserable, that’s awful too. The withdrawal I could handle, I can’t handle being irritated all the time, ESPECIALLY, that I’m raising my daughter!

I’m so frustrated! 🥺

I’m 32.
That sounds good! I will try that! I took your advice on a couple supplements and it helped!
I will let you know how it goes! 💜

Hey All,

It’s been a couple weeks now that I’m on 0 mg. I was wondering how everyone who is off it now felt a couple weeks into it? Or just in general after withdrawal has minimized? (Or maybe this is still withdrawal?)
I’m feeling moody and irritable still and feel the need to be in control of a lot of things. I specifically feel snappy.
For my women friends, did you notice a huge difference in mood change during your time of the month? I’m really hoping that this could just be that!

Mainly, worried that I’m going to be a raging b*tch without my medication and it sucks because I see SO MANY good things off my medication, I’m more motivated, better in social situations, working out more, less sleeping and I feel like I care about things again.

I just don’t want to be a nasty person and I don’t want to be back on medication! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️😩

Thoughts? 💜

Hi @rsmykalski, incredible job tapering! I too, just finished tapering and currently on 0mg! I tapered from 75mg and did it pretty quickly with 12mg decreases.
The day after tapering to 0mg was definitely my most difficult.
I started taking a huge dose of fish oils and b 12. There are definitely great reads in this forum from people ( recently) who have suggested more options too, you can even go back and peek through the last couple pages!
Good luck on your journey!

Did you try breaking open the Venlafaxine capsule and tapering your dose from 37.5mg? Each white tablet is 12.5 mg there’s 6 tablets in the 37.5mg capsule (this is for Venlafaxine not Effexor) once I got to one tablet I stopped taking it from there! It definitely sounds like you’re going through Venlafaxine withdrawal, maybe add a few white tablets in to help ease the symptoms?
