Here is the DNA study that was done at Duke along with the VA. It’s a scary situation for my children.

I saw endocryologist on Monday. Ultrasound and other thyroid test done. Calcium is also very high. TSH LEVELS from November 18 through present have more than tripled. Greater than 6 up from 1.00
Have only been on thyroid med since Monday. Don’t know yet if it will help. They told me it takes about a week to notice if it’s helping
Thank you so much for your input. You are spot on. Seems all my life I have been put in the category of you can do anything and everyone else expects you never to be anything less. I guess I am having a pity party today. I usually do not get emotional. I just carry on. Think the thyroid surgery in November has me on a downward spiral. I feel like I am just a piecemeal out to the multiple doctors each one only looking at their specialty and no one looking at the whole me.
I have two wonderful daughters who have no clue what I have been going through for the last 8 months. I don’t want to give them more on their plates. Both have severe health issues
And I feel I am to blame. Seems I passed down to them through our DNA the deadly diseases from toxic environmental exposures while on a military base
My two sons are deceased due to the exposure. So I am totally alone walking this path. I don’t see a future here.
Thank you so much for your good advice.
I was told this week that I had to monitor my fluid intake to not over one liter a day. So it seems like a never ending battle. Laxiz doesn’t work if you don’t have enough fluids to flush it through your body. Was instructed to take 120 msg. I did and didn’t urinate for 18 hours.
Think my body is shutting down. Fluid gain is over 6 lbs per day.
Update to vision problems. Was told yesterday that the eye problems are very likely coming from an increased level in the Parathyroid glands. -levels. You may want to have your doctor run a INTACT PTH along with all the other thyroid blood test. They told me it was the last thing they usually look for. I think it should be the first. My PTH levels are at 100
You nailed it. Never read a more accurate narrative on how we feel. Today I am an emotional wreck. Everything is folding in on me. A new illness has cropped up. Went back to Wake to see endocryologist. They did a new ultrasound and found a new nodule on the thyroid right lobe.
Left lobe was removed November 26 and was positive for Hurdle Cell and Follicator. You would have thought the surgeon would have taken the whole thyroid while I was still under. Guess he wanted s two-fed?? I also was told I was in DIA congestive heart failure. WOW guess the heart will take my life before the cancer. So recap breast cancer and thyroid non metastasis (different types)
After this week and new diagnosis I think I am just about to give up. I thank you for your post. It is extremely helpful. May God bless us all.
So sorry you are having vision problems. It’s very difficult to explain to doctors what we are seeing. My problem started on a cross country trip. I was under major stress (son had cancer) and I was driving him to California for a trial treatment. I chalked up the vision to stress.
That was December 2010. Had to block out one eye completely so I could see. Didn’t seem to matter which eye. So 2800 miles.
Coming back across country the same thing so again blocked one eye and figured strees
It kept up from time to time, sort of random. Never knew when. I went to my eye doctors and they change my lenses. No help.
Finally on August 12th 2019 I had my pre-op
For plastic reconstruction. When I left the hospital I couldn’t see much if anything. I finally got back to my home town and went straight to my eye doctors. They checked my eyes and determine I had vertical and horizontal dilopia. Did prisms in both lenses
Made a repeat visit and recheck showed eyes had worsen. To date no one has looked for a cause they just try to keep you visual.
I have high blood pressure ( DIA) is running about 110/120.
Cancer / Mucinous Carcinoma and thyroid – Hurdle Cell and Folicitot
This was diagnosed may 19 /2019
I suspect that these health issues are contributing to the problem. Just my thoughts here. I hope you are able to get help quickly for it’s a hard burden to bare.
Hope this helps you in some small way.

I seem to be having a similar situation. Had thyroidectomy left lobe that was positive for Folicator and Hurdle Cell
I believe our first instinct is the one we should go with and this is certainly no different. Saw local ENT who advised surgery after FNA, went for second opinion to Duke and also to WFBH
All doctors said the same thing. Thyroid has to go if I was going to survive. My gut instincts say no way.
I should never have had the surgery which was November 26.2019. Since the surgery I feel as though I live in someone else’s body as I don’t recognize my own. Heart palpitations, BP out of control, fatigue beyond belief and rapid weight gain
I am short of breath all the time and cannot sleep
My TSH levels have increased dramatically and all the doctors want to go is wait another 6 months before doing anything. This is ridiculous. I think I know my own body better than anyone. I live in it
I don’t fit in the standard mold and quite tired of being put in a category that I do not fit in
I also have Mucinous invasive Carcinoma of the breast. Had mastectomy and reconstruction. This went off without a hitch. God bless those doctors
Now I am feeling like what was the use to go through all that just to have my body and life destroyed by the thyroid and lack of communication and understanding for my body, me. I don’t think you are a nut case, your words for if so then I am with you.
