Well just got my MRI results which showed slight prominence of pancreatic duct with no lesions. My former CT scan from 2 years ago mentioned the slight pronounce but it was unchanged from a previous one. Now I am really freaked

I do have a GI doctor who feels it is IBS. As for th MRI, I am driving myself crazy with anxiety and thought it might rule out the cancer issue. Now I am not so sure it is a good idea and the contrast might irritate things more. Have had an ultrasound.
Have had ileostomy for 40 years, and now experiencing what I think is IBS. Am taking rifaximin but find I feeling a lot of pain in my pelvic area later in the day. I think antibiotics started this whole thing a year ago. Thinking of having an mri with contrast of abdominal area but afraid it might make things worse. Anyone experience this?
I am in Canada and asking to have an MRI done privately. However I have an ileostomy and am worried about metal in sutures. Also the contrast agent is concerning me. I have been suffering from IBS after taking antibiotics last year, and have discomfort under my ribs. Am being traumatized by pancreatic cancer in the news. Do not know if the mri will calm me down or just add to my ibs issue.
It is ridiculous trying to get an MRI in Canada. A dear friend is now dying because they didn’t think it was necessary to scan his brain. Plus the wait time is months to years. That is the Canadian system. We certainly, as did he, have the finances to go privately but that would be so unfair.
