Yes you can definitely have delayed reaction. There is so much valuable information I have provided throughout all my post and it will be very helpful to read it. My kid had the issue from birth and progressively got worse until age 7 where she would get stomach ache from just eating rice. We had to carry her every where since she had lost a lot of weight. We ended up eliminating everything from her diet. Now she can eat so much more and doesn't have problems. She is allergic to gluten, milk, eggs and nuts and we avoid that in her diet. Fructose malabsorption can be tackled very easily if you follow the regimen. Read my post and I can further answer any questions you would have from it. I have handled fructose issues for the last 13 years with my kid and is it amazingly under ccontrol with no nausea, gas, bloating or other symptoms. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you are suffering so much from the use of Reclast. The medicine can be harsh on your stomach will explains the use of Prilosec. I think asthma might be a disconnected issue.

The following are my recommendations;
1) Try Lutomerase (xylose isomerase) to take care of fructose intolerance.
2) Take probiotics everyday. It helps to fill your gut with good bacteria and eliminate the bad bacteria that feed on fructose and give you IBS.
3) Take infused ginger water prior to eating. It helps IBS and digestion.
4) Take digestive enzyme containing Betaine HCl to breakdown and emulsify the food.
5) Take turmeric pills (curcumin) for digestion and inflammation.
6) Either see a Chinese or Indian Herbalist as in lot of instances like this naturopath has worked wonders and I strongly believe in it.
7) Do water aerobics and weight bearing exercises.

I hope you start feeling better.

Hi – How is disolut working out for you? We ordered 6 more boxes from Ebay. I usually like to stock pile them since I don't know when they will stop making it. We had the problem with Fructozym where we ordered for 4 years and then they stopped making it. We haven't had the need to provide anything for Fructans since the disolut is helping. I am researching to see if there is a way to revert this problem.

There are 2 enzymes called Glut-2 and Glut-5 that seem to play an important role in this process and improper functioning of these can cause the problem. Hopefully, there is a way to fix it.

Hi – My kid had the same problem and we were able to turn it around. You should be able to do it too by taking Lutomerase. Do not take honey since it has a very content of fructose. Make sure anything you take in the diet has a high amount of glucose compared to fructose. Apples and honey are the worse in fructose content. All the best. Let me know if things change for you after taking Lutomerase.

Hi – You need to calculate the amount of sugar you are getting in the diet. Each pill of Lutomerase (Xylose Isomerase) can handle about 8 g of sugar. The strength is 75 mg/pill. This will help you figure out how many pills you need. Make sure you are regular in taking the pills when you eat. Do keep an interval of 4 hours between meals. Keep me posted.

Initially we use to order FructoZym which contained Xylose Isomerase. Just recently they discontinued making it. We bought from them for 4 years. We just recently switched to Dissolut from Netherlands. It also contains Xylose Isomerase as the Active sold by the name Lutomerase.

We ordered 1 box and it seems to work and we went forward and ordered 5 more boxes. It's very easy to order. I ordered through Ebay. The shipping is free and it showed by in my mail box. It is much more convenient than going to the bank and wire transferring the money to order.

Initially you will have pain, but continue using it as it will help you. Have you tried just taking glucose? I would like to know your reaction to just glucose. Take the enzyme 10 minutes ahead of time. It gradually will get better. Take the probiotics to built up the good bacteria to prevent the bad bacteria from fermenting.

If you take oil in the diet remember to take ginger pills or liquid infused with ginger to keep everything moving since oil slows down the movements of the gut. All the best.

Hello. I know how difficult it is to solve these issues on your own. We went through a similar thing when our child was diagnosed at age 8. We did an incredible amount of research and found some companies in Europe that distribute xylose isomerase. We first taught her to swallow these large capsules. After reading the information, we found that most capsules help with approximately 6 grams of fructose. We started with 6 per meal and now we are down to 2 capsules per meal. It helps beyond belief.

To further assist with this, you should also consider giving him probiotics to build up the good bacteria in the gut and when giving fats in diet make sure to give ginger infused water to keep everything moving in the gut.
