Wed, Apr 17 11:04am · Sleep without trazadone in Sleep Health

I use a sound machine (white noise) and also a diffuser with lavender in it. Sometimes I rub the lavender oil on my palms. On nights when I still can't sleep I use my meditation CDs on volume just loud enough to hear. I take no medication that is specifically for sleep. I am tapering my clonazepam presently and insomnia can be a real problem. But it won't be much longer and my clonazepam will be a thing of the past. As I near the end though, I find my anxiety and insomnia have ramped up! Good luck to everyone trying to get some sleep. Bless you all for being here.

@sandij I have developed cramps as I wean off Klonopin. Mine are always in my lower legs and feet. So annoying!

Tue, Apr 9 3:07pm · What is the best way to taper off Klonopin? in Depression & Anxiety

@merbreb -Hi Merry-These episodes happen a couple of times a day almost every day. Thanks for the heads-up about drug interactions and alcohol. I am a non-drinker so that's not an issue but I will definitely check with my Dr. about drug interactions as I am on other medications as well. But this just started when I was about half way through my taper.

Tue, Apr 9 1:23pm · What is the best way to taper off Klonopin? in Depression & Anxiety

I'm weaning off Klonopin, about half way through now. I've started hearing voices, which is to say (for example) that I'm in the kitchen or somewhere else in the house and I hear my husband calling me from another room. However I know that my husband is at work. No one else is in the house. It seems very real to me, so much so that I go looking where I think the voice is coming from. Anyone else have this or am I just crazy?

Mon, Apr 8 6:33pm · Valium (diazepam) Taper in Depression & Anxiety

@wonderwoman66 Librium is chlordiazepoxide (generic name) and is a benzodiazepine drug that is commonly used to treat anxiety, seizures, and alcohol withdrawal among other things. So glad to hear that you are doing so well. Blessings.

Sun, Apr 7 12:00pm · What is the best way to taper off Klonopin? in Depression & Anxiety

@kittymama I was on 2mg Klonopin for many, many years. Just recently I got my doctor to help me make a plan to get off because it no longer worked for my anxiety. She helped me make a plan to taper by 0.125mg every two weeks. My tablets come in 0.5mg so I take away 1/4 of a tablet every 2 weeks. It is easy because my tablets are scored so they're easy to break into quarter tablets. I take my Klonopin divided into three doses a day. So far it is working but with some increased anxiety and "brain zaps" both of which are hard to cope with but I am determined to get through this. Good luck to you. If I could give any advice it would be to get your doctor involved and keep them involved for the duration of your taper. I see my doctor every 2 weeks. We talk about how I am feeling, do I need to slow the taper, or am I coping with the withdrawal symptoms fairly well. Hope this helps. Blessings.

Fri, Apr 5 12:27pm · What if the generic antidepressant causes me relapse? in Depression & Anxiety

@aliali There are many different "generic" brands of this medication. Maybe try a different "generic" brand of your medication. They all react differently for different people.

Wed, Apr 3 1:54pm · This Anxiety is hell in Depression & Anxiety

Hello @daisypepper Just wanted to say welcome to the group. So sorry to hear you are losing your insurance. I have what I call "free-floating" anxiety where my anxiety is not connected to anything. Like you, it is all in my body. Am having varying degrees of panic as well. I am tapering off Klonopin and I think that is causing some of my anxiety. Are you on any meds that may be contributing to your anxiety?
