Hi, any update on taking Ofev? My doctors suggested me to give it a try. I’m hesitant, I’m 40, my lung disease hasn’t progressed in years, although, I don’t have much reserve. Ofev was just approved by fda in September for my condition and i feel like a experiment,, and this scares me. Any advice is appreciated..

Most definitely you should find a rheumatologist who specializes in scleroderma/Crest. My rheumatologist usually does a CBC panel which includes testing hemoglobin levels. Hemoglobin is a protein in your red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body. Very important to sleep on a incline and take nexium before bed until your doctor prescribes you something. This is why you are burping foam. Also don't eat before bedtime. Borage oil, gotu kola, and bikram yoga have helped my disease tremendously.

With all respect,,, adding more alkaline based foods to your diet can only benefit your health. There is no health benefit in eating processed/high Acidic foods.

You can Google Alkaline based diets. Foods high in alkaline are fruits, nuts, legumes and vegetables…Acidic Foods are basically any food that comes in a box and or processed meats..
There is a ton of info on alkaline based water.. For some reason it won't let me attach the most recent article on baking soda/water, but it's worth a try for acid reflux and inflammatory issues.
