Thanks for your reply. My PCP did not seem to be concerned about it. I showed it to my hematologist/oncologist and he didn't seem to be concerned about it. I had an appointment to have an ultrasound on my legs and to see a vascular surgeon but had to cancel because I also have Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction and Sjogren's and was just too sick to go to the appointments. I have researched MDS and petechia is one of the symptoms of MDS. What is PV and which doctors do you see?

I have been diagnosed with early MDS and I'm wondering if anyone else has had petechiae on your ankle, foot, instep, and heel that started out red and turned brown after that. My foot does swell up after being on it for a while and the instep begins to hurt and swell also. There is also a black spot on my instep which my PCP said is a superficial blood clot. I saw my hematologist on Thursday but forgot to ask him about it and of course, the office is closed today. Does anyone have any ides if this will remain this way or if it will eventually dissipate?

Does anyone know of medication for Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction?

Hi Peach,
I admire your determination and persistence in all you are going through. I just got more bad news today about my blood marrow biopsy. I also have CIPO, Sjogren's and other autoimmune diseases. I have no idea what else is in store for me. It's hard not to become discouraged. I don't know why the doctors would not give you a pain pump if you are in that much pain. I hope things improve for you. Elaine

Thanks, Ginger
Maybe it was because I was so anxious about having it done. They gave me "Twilight" but I did have some pain when they administered the local and when they did the aspiration. I took Tylenol when I got home and fell asleep but had trouble sleeping at night because I sleep on my left side. It was still somewhat sore the next day. It could be my age or the Sjogren's or the CIPO and other autoimmune disorders that I have. I'm glad yours went so well though. I got the test results on my portal from the hospital and the diagnosis is Macrocytosis, which I knew I had but B12 and folic acid were eliminated as a cause so it could be from Myelodysplastic syndrome. I don't have an appointment with the doctor to discuss the results as of yet
