Dec 9, 2019 · Pancreatic Cancer Group: Introduce yourself and connect with others in Pancreatic Cancer

always check mayo!  i was told by both clinics in town that my tia's,
vertigo, et al., were anxiety.  it was an ulcerated carotid that was
rolling up spitballs and shooting  them into my brain. mayo operated at
7pm and i went home the next morning with every single symptom gone.

Nov 21, 2019 · Spinal stenosis: Relief through exercise in Spine Health

when i was at mayo for a minor kidney surgery a couple of years ago, one of the surgeons casually commented that i certainly had a twisted sacroiliac. i thought it an odd comment and ignored it. when i went to my doctor about my back pain, he insisted i go to his chiropractor. i had never believed in chiropractors but finally gave in, and the chiropractor said i had a twisted sacroiliac. . the first treatment cured it (for 2 hours). each treatment lasts longer and works better. i still need my walker but i stand straight and sit longer and have less pain.

i have severe scoliosis from childhood polio, and i can only walk about 100 feet without a walker. i have been doing waterobics for 30 years. it is wonderful to get into the water and move around like a normal person. i don't think i could have stayed functional without it.

it sounds like my "twisted sacroiliac". i still don't quite know what it means, and i thought it was a peculiar remark from a kidney surgeon at mayos so i ignored it. a couple of years later i went to my family doctor and he made me go to his chiropractor, even though i didn't believe in it. the chiropractor also said twisted sacroiliac and in one treatment cured it, but only for 2 hours. i have been seeing him weekly, and it seems to be pretty much cured

Nov 7, 2019 · Severe scoliosis & no way to stop progression in Spine Health

my problem dates from polio in 1945; i am now 83. my head has always been 1 1/2 inches off center so that i have a big shoulder and a little one. my left kidney is in the middle of my gut in front of my colon. i was supposed to be 6 feet tall and am 5'4". i have found water exercise and chair yoga to be essential, and i try to pull myself as long and straight as possible in bed. all doctors send me for physical therapy and it helps sometimes. a dr at mayos casually mentioned that i had a "really twisted sacroiliac, which i ignored. when i mentioned the pain to my dr, he made me go to his chiropracter, even though i don't (didn't) believe in it. he straightened my sacroiliac which did several nice things, but nothing will fix my back. the squished torso is a problem, and exercise and a b-pap are the only help i know.
