Thu, Nov 14 3:22pm · Surgery for Calcifications/Cancer from Calcifications in Breast Cancer

Thanks but I live in a small town where there are limited options. No help from my doctor regarding a second opinion. I know it's serious but I don't trust the doctors involved. Time to find away to get out of state.

Thu, Nov 14 9:42am · Surgery for Calcifications/Cancer from Calcifications in Breast Cancer

I have dense breast and I'm flat chested. Mammogram and Ultrasound again found a cluster of calcifications. They've been there for years but now the radiologist recommended a biopsy. The problem is the radiologist refuses to do a needle biopsy because the Calcifications are too close to the surface. My doctor refuses to give me any information so I was sent to a breast surgeon but had no idea why until I arrived. The surgeon said the needle biopsy can be done but since the radiologist refuses they must put me under and cut me open. I refused because the surgeon said he doesn't think I have cancer and the radiologist results on the ultrasound are wrong. They sent a request to my doctor to have me get a second opinion by another radiologist/hospital but there hasn't been any contact from doctor. Has anyone had breast cancer just from calcifications? Has anyone been cut open to remove calcifications? I feel like the system is broken and I'm being treated like a guinea pig.

I also have dense breast and just did magnification mammo and ultrasound. I'm waiting on my doctor to call with my biopsy appointment. I have calcifications and a architectural distortion in my right breast. Don't be afraid to seek additional treatment. Due to dense breast radiologist for the most part are guessing. I've had a scare before and it all turned out ok. So far nobody has explained why I'm having biopsy. I asked for my doctor to call me and her nurse called with no information. Architectural distortion is new to me. Does anyone know what it means? How does your doctor schedule biopsy appointments? It takes forever because the radiologist has to approve the doctors request for biopsy then schedule an appointment.

Mon, Sep 30 9:04pm · Vasculitis in Autoimmune Diseases

If I'm in the wrong group please direct me to the right group. Is Vasculitis an autoimmune disease? My RBC, WBC and Immature granules are too high. The ANA is negative. I get a rash on my left side under my spleen. It goes away on it's own but has come back several times. Before the negative ANA my doctor was convinced I had Vasculitis and wants a biopsy. I don't want to do one unless I really have this. Waiting to hear from doctor.

Fri, Jun 14 12:03pm · Vasculitis connected to Blood Disorder? in Blood Cancers & Disorders

I have Erythocytosis which is controlled. I recently started getting a painful rash on my stomach but it comes and goes. My hematologist said it's Vasculitis and wants to do a biopsy when it flares up again. Has anyone experienced Vasculitis due to your blood disorder? The doctor wasn't sure what was causing it. I eat healthy and exercise.

Thu, Feb 7 9:05am · Is Idiopathic Erythrocytosis (Polycythemia) cancer? in Blood Cancers & Disorders

@suzeebee227 Forgive me for posting twice. I forgot to ask if anyone was having an issue with extremely low lymphocytes? Mine have been as low as 13. I take 1000 vitamin C everyday and was put on elderberry syrup every night. It's my understanding lymphocytes are the immune system. When I did phlebotomy frequently I would sometimes have high WBC and Neutrophils which as I understand means I have PCV. I always forget to ask my doctor.

@suzeebee227 I have this and it's also unknown why. Eating a plant based diet and exercising has caused my numbers to drop enough to where I only have phlebotomy every 3 months. I start each morning with a veggie and fruit smoothie and eat lots of veggies during the day. I also eliminated sugar and I was put on a multi vitamin. I've never been told it was cancer. I'll ask at my next appointment.
