Mon, Jul 20 5:27pm · Mac + lung cavity in MAC & Bronchiectasis

I was wondering about the inhaled albuterol followed by 7% saline. Have been doing only saline, laying down but still seem to bring up mainly the white mucus. My oxygen seems to stay 92 to 93. Does that mean I’ve probably got a lot to clear? My oxygen used to be pretty steady at 97. I’d like to know more. Thanks

Sat, Jun 6 12:18pm · Two bits of good news!! (and nebulizing with saline) in MAC & Bronchiectasis

Hi Rita, I’m interested in buying .9% saline Nebulizer vials on line. What exactly do I get or look for? I’ve been trying to use 3% but it’s so strong I can hardly use it. Doc says .9% won’t do me any good but go ahead and try it. There’s lots on Amazon, just not sure what one to order. Thanks.

Wed, Mar 4 9:13am · Clearing lung technique I found by accident in MAC & Bronchiectasis

I started laying down before I went for my dental cleanings and it always clears my lungs so I don’t cough while they’re working on me.
Do you use both albuterol and saline or just one or the other?

Sun, Feb 23 3:16pm · Bronchiectasis: New Diagnosis in MAC & Bronchiectasis

Thank you – I knew there wasn’t a cure but thought there might be something to put it into remission. I have been doing the albuterol in my nebulizer and will ask about the sodium. I’m on Azithromycin 3 days a week. I’m also doing the clear lung capsules. Seems to help me cough if there’s something to cough up.

Sun, Feb 23 10:49am · Bronchiectasis: New Diagnosis in MAC & Bronchiectasis

I have a question for anyone – is there a treatment for bronchiectasis itself? My Mac and nocardia seem to be in remission but I’m getting short of breath and have a lot of buttery texture and color sputum. Am doing to try to see my doc this week. I was told at one point there wasn’t a treatment for bronchiectasis but the other bacteria that bothered it. Can anyone give me some info? Thanks. Marilyn

Dec 11, 2019 · ClearLungs effective? in MAC & Bronchiectasis

I’ve been using clearlungs for 3 months now and for me it definitely seems to be helping. It makes me cough up what mucus I have and it’s thinner. I take it first thing in the morning and in 2 to 3 hours I’ve coughed up quite a lot and not much coughing the rest of the day. I’ve stopped using my vest and nebulizer until my next scan. Also went off the meds as my eyes were really bothering me. They’ve been much better lately (I also have sjogrens). My Mac was still active when I started clearlungs. I have bronchiectasis, Mac, (nocardia in remission) and aspergillos & psudamonas in my esophagus. I’m 83 and was diagnosed in 03.I have been very blessed in that I’ve not been sick with any of this. The CDC doctor tells me my lungs have many Mac colonies.

I waited 3 months. This was in 2003. The doctor I saw was Dr. Huett and I think she’s still there. I was there for ten days – went back for 3 days 3 months later for follow up. They are fabulous and so thorough. I’m sure you’ll find it worth the wait.
