This is my first post on mayoconnect, I had my THR (R ) cement-less on 15th October 2018 and now at 3 weeks post-op. Three days
ago I did some extra walking (on walker) and did exercise as advised by PT but with almost double repetitions. Tuesday early morning, I was trying to get out of bed, as soon as I sat on bed edge the way I usually sit, i felt stabbing pain in exterior part of thigh, it was so intense that I almost cried , it immediately faded as soon as i straightened my operated leg. Now this pain is happening every time i am sitting with my operated leg in normal position i-e knee bent inward. I have told it to my surgeon , he had given Tegral 200 mg. Beside that i am having severe numbness in anterior part of thigh specially knee area which is very painful. Icing does help. Foot movements are fine after that stabbing thigh pain and i can walk on walker without any issue. I am not sure what is wrong my hip, Tegral is not helping to overcome this pain, may be it has something to do with implant stem in femoral canal . Can someone guide me on it what should i do. I am planning to go for X.rays.
