Thank you @lioness! I appreciate this! I am super stressed out, and I know this isn't helping at all. I needed someone to say to keep my emotions in check. It's just scary. It just made me feel like I've been given a sentence really.

Thank you for the advice! My doc said fish oil really isn't suggested anymore (not that it would hurt anything to take it, but it just isn't pushed like it use to be). And I hadn't even thought about Coq10. Thank you!!

I appreciate the response. I workout 5 days a week (2 of them with a trainer) and have for the past 4 years, so that is no new news to me. Have done it for a long time, and have no desire to discontinue that regimen. We eat pretty healthy, except a couple days a week where we eat out, so that could improve. It was the genes and the smoking that did the damage, and I know the smoking has to go (on day #3 without a cig). I was wondering more on the end of being proactive doctoring, vitamins, etc.

I am 37 years old and had a CT Cardiac Scoring done this week, with a score of 189, which is WAY TOO high for a person of my age. My blood work has always been fine, I work out 5 days a week and have always eaten healthy (with exceptions of course). I have big time heart problems on both sides of my family and I have been a smoker for years (obviously quitting now – doctors orders of course). So genetics and smoking have been my factors. My doctor said to quit smoking, eat right, exercise, etc., but that there was no reversing the damage that has already been done. I am, of course, pretty shaken by all of this (I am a new mom to a 3 month old baby) and am looking for any suggestions besides the ones the doc gave me to try to improve this situation. They don't want to start any statins, etc, with me, as I am of child bearing age and cannot be on any if I decide to have more children. Any advice is welcomed!
