It’s been almost 1 year since my Tkr on right knee. I too feel tightness, phantom pain at times as though knee being strangled. No answers as to why this is so.

For me, deep achy, pins and needles, on the knee area were primary main pain symptoms. Now it’s swelling, hot feeling on knee, spontaneous piercing. My treatment consists of nerve blocks (two so far), Flector patch, cream. I’m am doing much better then when I was first diagnosed. Doctors say treating early is key. If you read others stories you will see how many have continuous pain, I’m just praying the pain doesn’t spread to other areas ,

I am 8 months out and I still have tightness. Diagnosed with CRPS, getting treated early for this, so far so good. My doctor also told me it was normal, I guess it was not for me.

No worries, everyone heals differently. I was bummed because there were some people who have healed quickly and were up and about in three months golfing and walking as if nothing had happened. I am the other hand was a late healer but that’s OK if the result was that I was walking unhindered again.
