HELP. LOST MY PATIENT ASSISTANT IN RAINSTORM YESTERDAY. I managed to lose my Patient Assistant yesterday while out shopping and a visit to my local military hospital. Looked everywhere, but can not find it. Called Medtronic, but of course they are closed and Monday is holiday. Sure hope I can get replacement without having to remove the device in my chest (loop recorder). Are they replaceable?
My cardio doc has 2 technicians that are experienced in this area. I will see them on 22 March and ask them your question. Just curious, do you have it pointed at foot of bed, and what is your signal strength, shows on display?
Mine was done in Pensacola, Florida at Baptist Hospital on 8 March 2018. Cost is almost $ 30,000. But it was done in Heart Cath lab, which drives up the cost. Should be done in outpatient setting, which is what my cardiologist EP stated. Simple procedure, local anthestic, went home in less than one hour. No pain, dressing came off on 11th, and Sterri strips came off yesterday. Works great. Battery life is good for years. Made by Medtronic, called the Reveal. Do Google search. Love Slovenia
I just had ICM (implantable cardiac monitor, LINC implanted last Thursday due to erratic heart beat. Low as 37 at night and high up to 161. Doctor said anything in low 30's is cause for alarm, which is why he did the procedure. There is no diet that can reverse heart disease, I have an enlarged heart, can not be reversed with diet , per my doctor. He said to lose weight and exercise, would be bet thing for my heart.
