Sun, Jul 12 8:50am · Colonoscopy and Endoscopy: Preparation in Digestive Health

I was the "lucky" person who had to have 6 colonoscopies in a year! (long story). My advice is put the mixture in a cup with a lid and use a straw. If you cannot smell it is not as bad. The straw lets you put it to the back of your tongue so you do not taste as much. Drink lots of clear fluids and you clear out faster. Use vaseline or zinc on your butt. And keep telling yourself " I can do this". Count the hours till it will be over! Helps pass the time….especially when you can think only 3 more hours or whatever and this will be done! Wishing you well! You can do this!

Mon, Feb 10 8:46am · Afib: What causes an episode? What if I don't notice? in Heart Rhythm Conditions

I suffered through awful Afib until I finally had an ablation and a pacemaker at age 66. My cardiologist kept asking me to get a sleep study. But I had none of the symptoms of sleep apnea. Finally did what he asked me to do and had the study. Sure enough. Severe sleep apnea which according to my cardiologist was consistent with what he found when he did the ablation. Good thing to get that checked when you are trying to figure out your AFib problem. I feel great now and love my pacemaker and tolerate my Sleep Apnea machine! On Eloquis and that is all. Can drink coffee and wine etc……just do nothing to excess! Hope this helps!

Pacemaker in 2017 after two years of parox Afib. That was a brutal two years. Felt I was going die with each episode. My heart would quit beating while trying to get back into rhythm. Awful! Had an ablation and them my cardiologist told me my heart was way too slow. 45 to 60 most of the time. So I had a pacemaker put in. I was 65 and felt my life was over. But my pacemaker has made me feel like my old self. A few skips and flutters with my heart but 99.9 percent of time I feel great! Have no regrets at all!

Just saw my cardiologist last week. I am on Eloquis. He was totally ok with taking CBD oil for sleeping problems…Just the lowest dose of TCH that is available.

I have had a pacemaker for two years. Would be interested in connecting with others!
