Feb 6, 2018 · fibromyalgia pain in Chronic Pain

Hi! I’ve had fibro for about 15 years. About 5 years ago I hit on the magic cocktail. Obviously, everyone is different, but if it helps at all, here goes:
AM
225 mg Venlafaxine, 100 mg lamotrigne
PM
900 mg gabapentin, 25 trazadone, 1 mg lorazepam

30 min intense cardio a day is KEY for me bc it majorly helps for sleep. Getting a good nights sleep is the most important thing for me pain wise.

I still have flares here and there, but I hit the heating pad, get a good night’s sleep and i’m Usually back to normal the next morning. I hope you get some relief soon!

Feb 6, 2018 · Hardware removal after tibial plateau fracture (tpf) in Bones, Joints & Muscles

The reason I only had partial removal is I wanted as minimal a surgery as possible. The screws that were removed were jutting straight into the soft tissue in a very particular, tender spot.

@rileydog I had a bad tibial plateau fracture following an accident and had a bone graft, plate and many screws put in. I’ve had constant pain since the surgery 3 years ago. I was reluctant to pursue hardware removal bc of some complications after my initial surgery. Finally I just couldn’t take it anymore and decided to move forward with removal after consulting 3 doctors (!). I had some screws (not all and not the plate) taken out a couple of weeks ago and the pain is pretty much gone. GONE! I wish I had done this years ago. Would have saved me a lot of suffering. Go consult with 3 drs if you need to until you feel comfortable with a decision based on your unique set of circumstances. Good luck!
