I have pain and itching on the scalp and itching on the face face which was diagnosed as seborhhic dermatitis. The lotion and shampoo given by the dermatologist do not help. Also hair loss. which is made worse by scratching when it itches. I am wondering if there are other scalp 'diseases' I am not aware of that could get treatment. I am losing a lot of hair and do not know the cause, unless it is my Eliquis (blood thinner) or Diltiazim (lowers BP). It is not listed on the side effects, probably because the makers of the drug(s) don't want people scared off.I
Get a barium swallow study with an ENT somewhere, it can show if you have esophageal diverticula (which I have) and/or hiatal hernia which may be part of the problem. Also dilation of the esophagus might help (gastro doc). keep on searching… jb
kariulrich, I can relate to your situation, with low BP, tingling hands, short-breath, fatigue, muscle pain, and no answers from Drs. and tests, and you don’t know if meds are the cause or the cure of it! I have had to ask for lower doses (I am elderly) but they are not happy about that.
Negative tests don’t mean you suddenly feel good. I think most Drs try, but the body is so complex that so many things can go out of whack and not be traced. We have to keep being detectives on our own, and stay optimistic — one of my problems, I tend to start worrying and then get anxious, and that doesn’t help. joan t10.
I have had chronic mucus formation in the throat for a long time. Reflux can make for stomach acid that comes into the throat, and mucus forms as the body’s defense. Also have allergic rhinitis that is always there; allergy to dust, maybe food, who knows. Clearing throat is getting more difficult, as larynx get irritated after all those year. I also fear choking or aspirating mucus. I am in my 80’s.
