@rosemarya glad you had a good walk this morning. Hoping I too can get back to walking. Starting on nighttime oxygen for shortness of breath. Sure hope that improves daytime breathing. Stay well.

Glad you traveled safely @rosemarya. Where in KY are you? I live in Lexington, KY. Don’t see KY too often in the posts.

@rosemarya nice to meet you as well. The heat and humidity does impact breathing. Honestly there appears to be no rhyme or reason to when or why in my case. Sometimes the most perfect of weather days is not perfect for me. Given up trying to figure it out. Allergy season and the pollen don’t help either. All we can do is keep moving as best we can. Happy walking!

Still out here and enjoying following the group. Haven’t reported walking minutes because they are way low due to lung condition. Continue to do what I can while enjoying the walkers chatter. Keep walking!!

Mon, May 25 4:50pm · Two bits of good news!! (and nebulizing with saline) in MAC & Bronchiectasis

Hi Toni1132. In 2017 I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis and MAC avium strain. Once recovered from the “initial” sickness (took 3 months), I met with infectious disease specialist to determine treatment. my system does not tolerate meds well and because I was able to function without feeling poorly, I determined to not start treatment and so far have not started any meds for Mac or bronchiectasis. I do use an over the counter regular saline spray twice a day (found by allergy stuff) recommended by my pulmonologist. Nebulizing is something I can go to, but because of my sensitivities my first option is always the path of least resistance. My Mac has remained pretty stable and is watched carefully with CT scans.
