Yes, it is an audio recording of my hypnotic induction. It was done in a soundproof room. He suggested that I was in the snow, barefoot! Walking to a cabin on a snowy mountain. I find that the more I listen to it the more effective it is.

Greetings all, and Happy New Year!!
Well, I’m still burning. Went to see a guy who is the head of the PhD program at Baylor University. He is the director of the mind body medicine clinic. I had seen him years before and he helped me greatly in getting my head right dealing with military stuff. Anyway, he did a hypnotic induction. Talked about being in the snow on a mountain. Barefoot! And, when it was over my feet were not burning. At all. He recorded the session and gave me a CD to listen to at home. I do believe I have improved. Not sure if the pain is less or I am dealing with it better. In any case, who cares! As long as it helped. Just thought I would pass this along. Best to all,
Greetings all, has anyone had any experience with dmso? Basically it is a solvent that takes whatever is on the skin into it. Knowing this and having read some books on it awhile back I decided to try it with lidocaine on my burning feet. I apply lidocaine gel to the feet then using a latex glove rub in about 1/2 tsp of pharmaceutical grade dmso. It seems to be working. I had the least pain today that I have had in many months. You must be careful not to have anything on the skin where you use it as it will pull it into the skin and some will enter the bloodstream. I’m no doctor so check with yours before trying this. And get only pharmaceutical grade dmso. They make an industrial product that is not suitable. It must be pure and free if other chemicals. I ordered mine online. I am encouraged with this so far. There are lots of articles on dmso. It is used extensively in veterinarian medicine. Both topically and orally and injectable.
I will try this, thank you. Seriously affecting my quality of life. Very frustrating as even with many tests I can get no diagnosis other than idiopathic burning foot syndrome. I don’t know the cause so treatment is not focused. Pain control is where I am now. My dermatologist wrote for a compounded cream with ketaprofen, and some other anesthetics. Another with ketamine. Neither did anything.
Greetings to all! Cold provides immediate relief, Ice wraps or a bucket of ice water are my friends. After a few minutes in the cold and removing them, the relief lasts for an hour before they gradually get to the point that I am back in the ice. I try to avoid doing this unless it gets bad as I notice a bit of a rebound effect if left in the cold too long. I have seen my internist, a podiatrist, neurologist, interventional radiologist (checking blood flow), a dermatologist, who prescribed a compounded cream with anesthetic agents in it, did not work. I had acupuncture for 2 months 3 times a week, nothing. A chiropractor the same frequency. Nothing. Finally went to an anesthesia group that specializes in pain issues. They did 2 nerve block shots near L2-3 in my back. Nothing. Then 4 epidural steroid shots in L5 S1 area. No positive effect. I am running out of options. I do not know what else to do. I have went after this hard, with all I have. With no results. Rather discouraged at this point.
