Hi Polly-
I too have scoliosis.i was diagnosed in 2006 and today I’m 66. I’ve had 2 lumbar surgeries & returned to work in 6 weeks post surgery. It was difficult. I was told yoga was not a good choice but Pilates is. Lots of stretching. It helps me.

Hello Kathy-
I’m happy to read a post with a positive outcome. In three weeks I’m having a full reconstruction. My spine will be straightened and new hardware put in. I’m hopeful my outcome is as good as yours. I’ve put weight on as it’s become harder & harder to exercise. I’m concerned it will affect my recovery and success. I’m staying positive!

I’m glad to be a part of this group. I was diagnosed with scoliosis 11 years ago & have undergone two lumbar fusions. My quality of life is improved but my hip pain & posture remain problematic. I still take gabapentinn & tramadol to get through my days. So many activities I would like to participate in but cannot. I’m looking forward to seeing how others have improve their daily lives.
