I am 73 and in 2008 lost hearing overnite due to acoustical neuroma. Complete hearing loss after radiation. I had BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid) done in 2014 paid by Medicare for one sided deafness and love it. I wear hearing aid on other side as I have hearing loss from child ear infections. I lots of times just have processor from BAHA and can hear for around home etc. only requirement is a functioning cochlea

You should definitely be followed by vasc dr. If you have any digestive problems they could be affected by you superior mesenteric artery problem. Being followed is important to keep a record of size change or other symptoms

My 38 year old nephew was just diagnosed with CHM. He was a big athlete in college and had no symptoms but after some dizziness was diagnosed in mpls. He was seen by Mayo Rochester and now has a loop placed just under skin in chest to record his heart night and day to know heart function. If your son diagnosed early it is a blessing as much more dangerous if never diagnosed. So much new technology now it is a special dept at Mayo

An aneurysm is usually defined as an outer aortic diameter over 3 cm (normal diameter of the aorta is around 2 cm), or more than 50% of normal diameter. If the outer diameter exceeds 5.5 cm, the aneurysm is considered to be large.

There is usually a determined size when something needs to be done. Abdominal over 6cm. The most important thing for you is to have a dr that you trust and try to know that you are being watched by someone in that specialty.

I was diagnosed when I was younger because my fingers and toes would blanch when I was cold. I never have had any other problems. They had said I had syndrome so maybe didn't really have it as these side effects above seem quite severe

I woke up in 2008 and was unable to hear well on left side. Drs at first thought it was a virus. After MRI confirmed AN. It was in the inner ear chamber and very small. We watched it until 2013 and it started to grow a little. I had a month of fractional radiation which left me completely deaf on the left. Because of deafness I had a bone assisted hearing device BAHA on the
Left so can now hear on that side with peocessor. The severity on AN has to do with size and where it is located. I had the radiation as my dr was worried it would eventually affect equilibrium or facial nerve. I have no side affects at this time. Just having a diagnosis is scary but one needs to remember that all tumors are different
