Hi Ginger. I am certainly NOT happy ur flipping out from pain but at least there might b hope for me! I tried to sit straight and not hunched over- I am getting a fast advancing scoliosis- that is goving me mid and upper back spasms. Anyone give me any hints. I am very frightened as I live alone and my son's m i l lives in his basement. He has 4 kids and 3 brs and they r all up a flight of steps. I am worried about what will become of me. I am an unusual 74 y o with a much younger sort of bf. He gave me a massage which hurt but helped a lot. Cannot afford them every day and only see him on occasion. He lives 1 and a half hours away and if he works all day – usually 6 days a week, he is too tired to give me the long massage he did yesterday. He got rid – temporarily- of a lot of spasm. My family hates him and doesn't know I am still seeing him..
Even if I wanted him to live here it would be iimpossible and he is lazy. As my gf says he thinks he is on vacation. No no help there. So I am stuck. Any suggestions? Trying to get to PT but having a flare of of gastroparesis which causes me extreme fatigue. Thanks for listening.

Nov 22, 2018 · The Journey of Grieving in Loss & Grief

Hi. Bless you on your journey. I have been grieving over 5 years after losing my husband of 45 years. Some people tell me that it is too long – but how long is right? All holidays are hard for me but TG I have my son and his family. Now one of my grandsons has a girlfriend- so the family grows.

Hi,
Forgot my name on here.lol. Brain fog I guess. Should show up when you read this.
Been away from here awhile.
Have spinal problems since age 14. Got worse during a bad pregnancy 48 yrs ago and chronic in 1977.
But I managed to stand and teach math in college for 25 years full time but after 2 auto accidents, fibromyalgia, and a balance problem in 2005 my PT convinced me to not go back. I still did part time teaching on and off until I had a stroke in 2009 – from which I supposedly recovered but I have so many problems they don't know which one is affecting my balance. I also have diabetic neuopathy in the nerves in my feet that tell us where we are.
I have a married son who helps do things in my house but he has 4 kiddos- the oldest is autistic and his wife now works out of necessity.
I lost my hubby who did everything for me 5 years ago. He was my best friend on earth and I just cannot get over losing him. So I deal with anxiety and depression.
My knee got worse than my back and I only have a lady who cleans 3 hours a week.
I have been turned down for subsidized car service 3 times. I am too embarrassed to say how many meds I am on. They tell me to take 3 buses to see my son. I haven't been on a bus in over 5 years.
I feel like a complainer writing all this but unfortunately it is my life.
Most of my few friends have moved away or passed away and my neighbors are almost all from a different ethnic group and know none of this. They probably think that I am rich cause I take car service and cabs.
I wish I could go to lunch with some of you or visit or have you visit. You would understand that I cannot entertain you and we would have a great time and forget about reality for awhile.
I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart.

Same here. I tend to get bad UTIS from being diabetic, I think so, anyway. Hope she gets through this soon. TG she has you
She may not feel blessed right now, but she is.
I keep having one problem after another and 5 years ago I lost my tower of strength and have been trying to get through things without him.

I have spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, etc. I have been so out out it that I have forgotten to take my meds in the morning several times which leads to grating pains in the back of my legs and I cannot lay in bed to sleep. I, tok, cannot get in the tub. Exactly how do you use epsom salts with a washcloth- sorry if I sound dumb
Thanks so much for the idea – you may have helped with my agony at these times. Bless you for your thoughtfulness !

Thank you but I have have had chroni back pain since 1977 – most of my adult life. I get frightened cause I lost my wondetful hubby who helped me immensely 5 years ago and my son is married with 4 children – one autistic. So he helps when he can but his wife had to go back to work so he is totally overwhelmed himself. So I get frightened- what if it gets worse ? And now I have knee problems and am not really a candidate for surgery. A mess..

It certainly is. A dr who puts you off is as much luch as a broken leg. Look elsewhere! Why should you suffer like that!

Hi,
I am not familiar with ganglkon cysts and thus cannot understand your hesitation to have it removed. What is the success rate, what are possible complications and how common are they ?
I have mulitiple pain issues – mostly knee and back. Back surgery is notorious for being able to correct the problem but not necessarily the pain. I was told that I am not ready for surgery on my knee and beca5of my history, the surgeon whom I consulted wouldn't operate on me anyway. So for me, the possibility of successful surgeru is just a pipedream. I suspect uour outlook is much better. Can theu keep fraining the cyst? I have had several cysts removed over the years but they were never ganglion cysts tl my knowlege. Wish I could help you more. I will watch for other repies.
