Feb 7, 2017 · Paranoid schizophrenia (mysterious case) in Mental Health

Hello dmac, I am sorry to hear that you are struggling but glad you came here, where there are people to listen and to offer help.
Tell me something, please… You say that your “schizophrenia” has you feeling paranoid. Is that because you hear voices and they say things to you that make you feel bad, or maybe feel guilty or other uncomfortable feelings?
If you do hear voices, what do they say to you?
Do you think they make you feel paranoid, or scared inside?
Maybe you feel scared that other people don’t have your best interests at heart?
That would be very frightening indeed. No wonder you stay inside by yourself until it’s over.
It is good you are able to connect here, with people who want to offer you help and support.
We are all on your side!
Have you been prescribed medication? Are you taking it?
Best to you!

Jan 29, 2017 · Daughter having trouble for years with voices inside her head in Mental Health

Good morning to you. I am a social worker in California. I have worked with young people with symptoms like your daughter's. Of course, schizophrenia and bipolar are "labels" (okay, diagnoses) that might (or perhaps have been) be applied to her, but I am wondering if they have checked her hormone levels for abnormalities as well or if symptoms worsen at cylic times of the month? If all physical avenues have been explored, then I am curious: Does she live with you or alone? Is she still hearing voices? If yes, what do the voices tell her? On another note, is she a religious or spiritual person? If yes, there may be yet another explanation and avenue of reaching her. I wish you the best finding help for her.
