Thu, Jul 25 1:31pm · Facet ablation in Spine Health

I had a facet ablation last Friday in L4/5 and L5/S1. So far it has worked. Have been having problems for a number of years. I was referred to a Pain Management Dr by my Rheumatologist. Had anaesthetic via a drip but wasn’t completely out. I felt nothing at all. And went home about an hour later. Am having the other side done next week.

I also like Biofreeze and Lidocaine OTC. But when I recently had an itchy rash I went to my Dermatologist and got a prescription ointment plus she recommended Zyrtec and Allegra. I have PsA, Sjogrens, IBS and Hashimotos.

My balance is improving. I’m just so scared to fall again because I have osteoporosis. I am a retired Physical Therapist so I am a very cooperative patient! I stay to the bitter end then insurance throws me out! I see my Oncologist after each scan. I like her very much. I am in Colorado and am experiencing excellent care.

I had a right lower lobectomy last May for adenocarcinoma. It was done via robotic arm. I don’t remember trying to catch a breath being difficult because everyone was shouting at me to wake up! The chest tube came out easily a few days later. After that I went to Rehab for 2 1/2 weeks because I had a small stroke in January which left me with imbalance. I came home with a walker , then graduated to a cane with Physio. Finally, I am starting to feel better this month and walk without the cane. Just got signed off to drive yesterday with the Neurologist. I am afraid of falling since the only notice I had of the stroke was falling down the stairs and breaking ribs and 3 vertebrae. Have a CT scan every three months. Don’t dwell on having cancer. Look forward to each day when you are able to do something new.

We just lost one of our rescues. She was an 18 yr old Siamese who developed bladder cancer. We had her for two years after her first Mommy was killed in a motorcycle accident. What a sweet shrieky dear she was!

Sep 15, 2018 · Living with lung cancer - Introduce yourself & come say hi in Lung Cancer

I had lung cancer surgery on May 30. They removed the right lower lobe. Subsequently, I had an infection in the liver and was on a drain. One of the antibiotics caused a seizure and I had to be taken to hospital by Emergency Services. Off the antibiotics now, and the PICCline and the drain to my liver. I had had a small stroke in January, which I didn’t even notice. But my balance was shot. I’m going to Physio twice a week. Have graduated from a walker to a cane. No chemo – we’re on a wait and see because I have a number of autoimmune diseases. EEG next week and appt with Oncologist in October.

I have Panic Attacks and take Fluoxetine (Prozac) 60 mg daily, which controls them very well!  @marylou705

Jul 25, 2018 · Sjogrens in Autoimmune Diseases

I have Sjogrens too and I was getting a chest scan frequently from m.y Cardiologist.  He kept spotting something in my right lung and we thought it was the Sjogrens but this time I got a shock.  It was lung cancer so I had a lobe removed in May.  Add to that I had a stroke in January and I now have an infection on my liver!  I am only saying this is possible, but rare.  I also have itchy ankles.  Primary problem is Psoriatic Arthritis.  Have you tried an OTC cortisone ointment on your itch?  @marylou705
