I eat three meals at (usually) specific times and need a snack between b-fast and lunch and again between lunch and dinner. I have only been a type one diabetic for two years now….had regular sugars until then. Then had a very stressful event that brought diabetes to me. I am a brittle diabetic and have to be careful of food and insulin. My snacks can be a half Atkins bar, peanut butter and apple slices or a piece of cheese. I cannot eat nuts as a snack as they raise my sugars. My husband says I am not normal. I agree.
