Understanding Lymphedema: What To Know to Take Control

Staff of the Stephen and Barbara Slaggie Family Cancer Education Center, located in Rochester, Minnesota, are committed to providing up-to-date education and resources to empower cancer survivors to be active partners in their health journey and beyond treatment.

The Stephen and Barbara Slaggie Family Cancer Education Center hosted a webinar presented by Jenny Bradt, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA, licensed physical therapist from Mayo Clinic Rochester.

Jenny's presentation reviewed how the lymphatic system is impacted by cancer treatments.  The session included how to assess your risk of developing lymphedema, where to look for symptoms, and what to do if you are experiencing swelling in a body part.
