for someone with intractable epilepsy what are some of the typical things that would make them a good candidate for surgery?

How can you diagnose benign rolandic vs benign myoclonic?
I have a child who's seizures were very controlled during adolescence but as he is moving into puberty he is having exponentially more seizures. We are in the process of changing meds now. How common is this and is it likely that we can get it back under controll?

My daughter started having Gran Mal and PNES at puberty as well. How did they diagnose? Our doctors refuse to give an official diagnosis.
