According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) the rates of new cancer cases has decreased in the United States, however, growing disparities or inconsistencies exist in cancer rates in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. This webinar touched on the reasons why we see differences in cancer rates in AI/AN people and nutrition strategies to potentially reduce cancer risk.
Objectives:
- Understand American Indian and Alaska Native history and its impact on the health of the community
