Hi everyone, I'm contacting you on behalf of my son who is 57 years old. He was always a very healthy lean guy when he was younger. He has become very heavy because of his eating habits. He's had one hernia surgery because of it. He noticed that he had another hernia after he left the hospital. My son had just gone in to see the same doctor and he was told that he had to lose weight before they would do hernia surgery again. He's in pain when he walks and he's very uncomfortable because of all his weight. I feel like he's between a rock and a hard place. I'm very worried about him. Is it hard to get bariatric surgery done and is it helpful? What are his options? What can he do? I wish he could be checked into a hospital and put on a special diet. Thank you
