Description
Are you 18 -39 years old? Got cancer? Had cancer in the past? You're not alone. This support group offers support and information for young adults (ages 18-39) coping with cancer and is open to Mayo Clinic patients and the community.
Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mountain time (find your time zone). We alternate between online and in person meetings to give you the opportunity to meet other young people going through similar experiences. We do various activities to talk about the hard stuff but also have fun, share a meal, and build a community of people who “get it”.
To register, email Melody Griffith MSW, LMSW at griffith.melody@mayo.edu. To learn more about AYA cancer support at Mayo Clinic, visit the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program website.
Want to connect with others any time? Join the discussions in the Mayo Clinic Connect Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Support Group online forum. Ask questions and get answers. Give and get support.
