I took nitrofuranton (macrobid) many different times in my lifetime to treat a UTI. THe last two times I took it, I had a reaction and had hives. The last time I took it was in 2005. Could that be the reason for my fibrosis.

Initially CT looked like sarcoidosis. Bronch showed pathology of hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Unaware of any exposure. Left environment and symptoms progressed rapidly. Started prednisone and weaning off now. Is it possible for this to be hypersensitivity even though I left environment and symptoms got worse. Thank you
