Will taking Evenity 2 months after lumbar surgery help spine strength?

I'm in an emergency situation without help from doctors. I was scheduled to start Evenity in May 2025 when had sudden dental problem needing 2 root canals. Endodontist recommended hold off on Evenity as may need extraction. I have not started Evenity and one tooth possibly needs extraction. I have severe stenosis and collapsing vertebrae in lumbar but neurosurgeon thinks screws and rods won't hold until I take Evenity for 3 monthsMy leg is now numb and can't walk on R leg. My endodontist leaves up to me on tooth extraction of tooth with root canal done in July 2025. It does not hurt to chew and hot or cold not sensitive but sensitive if tapping the tooth. I would like to try 3 months Evenity as I'm afraid my spine will not last much longer.

ann31, ask your surgeon if you could take Tymlos or Forteo instead. Both of these medications increase the integration of hardware into the bone. And both increase bone in the jaw and are prescribed to help resolve osteonecrosis of the jaw.
I hadn't heard of Evenity being used before surgeries of this type. But three months of Evenity could build a strong scaffold. Osteonecrosis is a risk with Evenity, but less of a risk with a short duration of use and less of a risk than other medications.
If he thinks the anabolics would be unwise, I'd go with Evenity, but would be sure and have a P1NP before use and after one month. Evenity isn't effective in some people. I'd wait the tooth extraction for the three months prioritizing the lumbar stenosis. After the three months I'd want to be on Forteo (despite misgivings by some about the sequence),
Best wishes for a successful surgery.
