Why was my testosterone level in the 1300s when I was diagnosed?

When my doctors were doing their tests to discern how aggressive my prostate cancer was, my testostrone level was over 1300 and my PSA was over 20. Why would my testosterone level be so high?

: Tumors in the testes or adrenal glands can produce androgens, including testosterone, causing levels to rise above normal ranges. Leydig cell tumors in the testicles are one such example.

Certain medications, such as some anticonvulsants, barbiturates, and clomiphene citrate, can interfere with testosterone metabolism or measurement, resulting in elevated readings. Hyperthyroidism can also cause increased testosterone levels by affecting sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) levels.

High testosterone can indicate underlying health issues.

Mark , what is you age ? what treatments have you done ? whats the status of your PC now ? Depending on your age and lifestyle , yes it seems quite high . Did it Alarm your Dr's . What did your Dr's say about it? . Get a second opinion - I would on matter . Ranges for T can differ slightly depending on the laboratory standards, and many other factors . Levels tend to be higher in younger men (20s–30s) and gradually decline with age. For example:

Men aged 20–30: 400–1,000 ng/dL
Men over 40: 300–700 ng/dL

Factors like time of day (levels peak in the morning), health, underlying illness, and lifestyle can influence results. If you’re concerned about specific levels, a doctor can interpret tests based on individual context, if I were you I would get it checked out by a specialist . Just to rule out a illness and other factors . T is not too good for PSA levels IF the Prostate has soem Cancer in it ( even type 3 cells love T !! ) . Let us know what happens Sir . I'm now in my early 70s. Testo in the 1300s was before we started therapy. After radiation and ADT, testo went down to undetectable, and I think my PSA and testo are doing well now. I was wondering if anyone knew why it would have gone so high in the beginning, if there was something that pushed it up? My oncologist didn't say anything at the time, but if you guys are alarmed that it was so high, I'll send a note off to him. I hope it's just normal for cancer that was only in the prostate and doesn't indicate a tumor in an adrenal gland or something,
