My stomach is round and bloated, and it makes me look pregnant
I have been having problems with my stomach for quite a while now.
My stomach is always round and bloated ,as if i am pregnant.
I have pain most days and have severe cramps and vaginal muscle cramps/contractions during my period. I also bleed a lot.
I eat healthy, take multivitamins and drink water and no sodas or fruit drinks just fruits and veggies. I know most people have flatter stomachs even those who don't eat as well as me.
I have done research and have come to some conclusions that could fit. I think i might have a uterine fibroid or cyst, something that is making my stomach big.
I also have ugly stretchmarks even though i have never been pregnant and am not pregnant, but at times it looks like it.
If anyone has anything similar or knows anything,i would really appreciate the feedback.

My stomach is bloated also. I find that after eating some veggies/fruit this gets worse. I have started exercising more and have lost a few pounds this seems to have helped tremendously in reducing the bloating.
I was super nervous about getting stretch marks, so my mom recommended starting to use a cream before I started showing to moisturize. I started using stretch mark cream of dermalm d brand around 10 weeks every night before bed and I never got any stretch marks! I know stretch marks can be a thing for some people genetically regardless of what they use, but I would definitely give this a shot!

Hi @arlenemh, a distended stomach is one of those symptoms that can be a sign of a variety of different issues from gastrointestinal to gynecological to other issues. I moved your message to this existing discussion where other members have received several suggestions for a distended stomach. See here:

You taken the first right step by making an appointment with your doctor to get to the bottom of your dual symptoms of distended abdomen and difficulty walking. Between now and your appointment, I would take notes of when these symptoms feel worse and what you were doing or eating at the time that may have triggered the symptoms.
Thank you very much Colleen for the quick reply & moving my stomach issue to the correct section - yes I will make note of what you have mentioned - I don’t have any pain - just discomfort bending forwards & I think the weight of my belly is the cause of my legs having no power - thanks for you advise xx
Arlene, I'll be interested to hear what you learn at your upcoming appointment and next steps.
im 14 f and half a year ago, i started to bloat a lot to the point that i can look pregnant. I have no discomfort and i can suck it in pretty well. I know it isn’t fat because all of the bloating in behind my abdominal muscle wall. Why is this happening?
1: relaxed 2: sucked in 3: squeezing ab muscles but not sucking
I have been dealing with so severe since having C diff and being on antibiotics for over 4 months. I feel like I am 7 months pregnant. Just walking around cause my stomach to blow up like a Helium balloon. The swollen goes down a little when I’m sleeping but the minute I get up and start moving around, it gets increasingly worse. I do not have a Lotta gas but do you have Gerd. Has anybody else had this after being on antibiotics or having C diff. A colon specialist I went to saw my stomach getting larger as I was sitting in front of him. He did blood work and CT SCAN AND ALL CAME OUT GOOD. Ugh....I am so uncomfortable - any suggestions. I understand the frustration. GI doctors just shrug their shouldersa 😩Shrug their shoulders.
Not sure if this suggestion is relevant but some people have found low dose of nortriptyline (start with 10mg and maybe go up to 20 after a few weeks) look up nortriptyline for IBS and see feedback - various for IBS D etc. Worth a try. Gastro docs seem clueless and yet it has been very successful for many. Good luck.
